Workshop: Smart Preparedness in Early Warning, Civil Defense, and Survival Skills

The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, organized a workshop titled ‘Smart Preparedness in Early Warning, Civil Defense, and Survival Skills.’ Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Tahir Mandeel presented the workshop, which covered the concept of smart preparedness, its components, and smart applications that help prevent fires, floods, earthquakes, gas leaks, and acts of sabotage before they occur. The workshop also addressed early warning systems and their phases. In the third part, the researcher discussed basic civil defense skills, evacuation procedures, crowd management, risk assessment, and emergency communication.
